Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)

The EEO Unit is the part of the Diversity Programs Department. The EEO Unit ensures that CTA complies with the applicable federal, state and local equal employment laws, guidelines, affirmative action goals, employment practices and provides the training needed to achieve these goals. The CTA is committed to providing equal opportunity and service equity to its employees, job applicants, customers, vendors, contractors and suppliers. This commitment means that the CTA does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity, marital status, national origin, sexual orientation, ancestry, age, military status, and physical or mental disability and any other basis protected by federal, state or local law.

The ultimate goal is to reach equality. The CTA prohibits workplace harassment, including sexual harassment, as well as retaliation against employees. Retaliation against an employee or applicant who has filed a complaint or interference with an employee or applicant’s right to file a complaint concerning such matters is prohibited.

The EEO Unit is available to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) assistance, community outreach, trainings, and/or any guidance regarding EEO-related issues.
